22nd Birthday photo diary.

I had a pretty cool birthday, hanging around with friends and family which is just what I wanted. And cake, but that comes later. Here's what I've been up to of late.

My very cheeky cat deciding to steal my water!

One of my favourite drinks ever.

My dad's very cool cup.

Super messy orange nails, nail polish by American Apparel.

When I went to visit my friend Lucy at her new Student accommodation, I found a random door knocker on the side? haha.

Playing 'Kings' our favourite drinking game.

Chris and Beckie playing with rock candy.

The cutest couple ever, Rosa and Bradley.

Delicious pizza...

Julia tucking in!

The face of sheer joy.

Morgan spiced rum and pineapple juice, yum.

Tom and Michael being anti-social. It wasn't long before we all started getting a little silly for the camera.

This tasty cocktail was called Sorano punch which if I recall correctly has Disarano, Midouri, Whiskey and orange juice.

Me and Mark, my floral print dress is from New Look, gold chain is from H&M.

We all decided to go back to Lucy's after the bar and hang out.

Eventually we all got very tired, tried to crash but only ended up sleeping for 2 hours, Lucy's sofa's are very uncomfortable! so we came home around 6am.

Do you like my make-up from the night before? ahaha.

This cake was AMAZING, white chocolate cake is better than milk chocolate in my firm opinion, my sister picked out this cake - she has great taste! (you see what I did there?) Today was a family day, I spent my actual birthday watching T.V. and eating Chinese food with the fam, I wouldn't have it any other way =)

Oreo and Nutella mug cake.

I was craving something sweet the other day so I decided to see what was around the house and bake with it. I found some oreos, I found some nutella, and other more normal baking ingredients and thus 'Oreo Nutella mug cake' was born. It's made for one, but you could share it if you're feeling particularly generous. Here's what you'll need.

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar, or 2 teaspoons of sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon of oil

  • Oreo's
          80g (1/3 cup) caster sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • Nutella or similar hazlenut spread

  • 2 tablespoons of milk

  • 2 tablespoons of self-raising flour
    1 egg1 eg

Use the biggest mug you own so the cake doesn't over flow as it rises. I think this mug is meant for soups or something because it is HUGE.

Add the flour and sugar to the mug, mix.

Crack 1 egg into the mug along with 2 tablespoons of Nutella. At this point also add the oil, milk and vanilla essence, mix well.

Place as many Oreo's as will fit on top of the mix. Then using a teaspoon, dollop some Nutella on top of each Oreo, how much you add is up to you but I put at least one heaped teaspoon per cookie. Then push the Oreo's down so they are covered with the cake mix.

Put the mug in the microwave for 4 - 5 minutes on full power. You'll know it's done when it's springy to the touch.

It demands a glass of cold milk with it if you ask me, or a hot chocolate, or ice-cream, or custard. It will be piping hot when it comes out so give it a few minutes to cool down before eating. If you're a little random with measuring, add less sugar than you think you need because the Nutella is already quiet sweet and you don't want tooth ache. As you dig your spoon in you'll find delicious pieces of cookie and pockets of gooey chocolatey Nutella too.
