Wine and good times.

I only just got my camera back, so these are the hastily shot, blurry pics captured from my iPhone. This is essentially an update, mostly I've been drinking wine and hanging out with friends, right now though I'm studying because I only have a few weeks until I finish uni forever. Not a scary thought or anything, I just have to decide what to do with the rest of my life is all. These past few months have been filled with birthdays, wine, lots of cake and general good times. Maybe the last good times I'll have for a while due to all the mounting pressure of coursework. Here's what I've been up to.

We went for a civilized dinner at El Molino's, a quaint little tapas restaurant down the road from us. I didn't eat, but I did have a lot of sangria which I hadn't tried before, it's tasty.

I usually hate chocolate cheesecake but this was pretty spectacular! I'd definitely have it again.

My friend is having a baby and we had a little baby shower to celebrate, this is the awesome cake we had, there's nothing cuter than baby themed icing.

One of the party favours at the baby shower, it's a sugar dummy, I had three and felt very sick afterwards.

Spring is finally here! its a little rainy in London but every now and again the sun decides to show up and make all the blossoms look even prettier.

I'm a terrible sister, I've pretty much missed every one of my family members birthdays last year, so I took my little sisters to TGI Fridays for a very belated birthday lunch. I hadn't been there before but I'll definitely be going back.

The strawberry margerita with popping candy rim, it tasted more like watermelon to be honest and the drink was room temperature, other than that it was good.

This beauty is the Jack Daniels burger and it was SO good! the bacon was very over cooked though and was a bit like trying to chew through tar, but overall the taste was definitely there.

After lunch we did a little shopping, I came across this cute little salt and pepper shaker set. I want it!

'Btooom. Hunger games. Pfft. THIS is a hunger games. Brutal. Good story. Complex characters.

I saw this in Waterstones and it made me laugh, 'Btooom' is the name of a manga and anime series if you didn't know.

The beautiful cakes at the bakery 'Paul', I got the strawberry tart for my mother, I told you my bank balance would weep didn't I?

After lunch and shopping I went out with my friends in Staines to a pub to see a few bands, I wish I could remember the name of the band because I really liked them. Though the last band performed a godawful version of 'all my life' by the foo fighters that I've been trying hard to forget. Bands just shouldn't do covers! 9 times out of 10 they end up ruining the song.

We had a little party and some people thought it would be a good idea to sit on the window ledge... it was so terrifying, I thought someone would fall and die!

The messiest paint job ever.

This is the cake I baked for my friends birthday. You know when you plan on cooking or baking something and it doesn't really turn out the way you had planned? that was this. Clearly I thought I was too good for measurements that day because this cake could probably feed 30 people but there were only 10 of us. its a chocolate sponge cake filled with chocolate ganache, covered in chocolate icing, Cadbury's chocolate fingers and dairy milk.

It was as tall as my hand! when I get the measurements on point I'll post a recipe for it.

Selfies with my cat all day every day.

Julia's amazing birthday cake, its not actually cake but a giant chocolate brownie! it tasted unbelievably good, and that little mango thing was one of the cute canapes we had.

I shudder to think of how many calories I've consumed lately, I've been living off of pizza, wine and cake. I definitely need a detox but I'm going to wait until after I graduate so it'll be easier. Happy hump day!
